Rebuilding Our Black Forest and Waldo Canyon Communities!
Hammer Homes would like to extend heartfelt prayers to our neighbors who suffered the loss of their home in the devastating Black Forest Fire. We understand that recovery is a long and difficult road, full of unexpected challenges, but we’re here to help you through it in any way that we can.
Until last year, we had no experience with rebuilding after fire destruction. Waldo Canyon changed all of that. Many folks trusted us to accompany them throughout this overwhelming process. We not only helped families rebuild their homes, but learned many lessons along the journey. We can now say that we have experience in dealing with insurance companies, site assessment, demolition, as well as required permits. We make every effort to ensure our clients get the maximum benefits available under their policy and receive a quality built home, whether rebuilding on the original home site or in a new area.
Please let us know how we can be of service to you. We are available to answer any questions you may have regarding the rebuilding process. Please stop by our model in Northgate Estates at 788 Black Arrow Drive, visit our website at HammerCustomHomes.com, or call 719-332-3578 to speak directly with us.
You will remain in our hearts and prayers…
Dave and Debbie Hammer
Please take a moment to read a few of the testimonials from clients regarding the Waldo Canyon Fire Rebuild:
After losing our home during the Waldo Canyon fire, we were trying to decide whether to rebuild or buy. Our realtor, Bill Kemp, showed us a home being built by Dave Hammer. We immediately loved the floor plan and how well the home was being constructed. It wasn’t hard to decide to rebuild after looking at the home. Working with Dave has been great. All of the upfront planning and scheduling Dave did made the process much easier than I ever expected. He worked with us to ensure the things we wanted incorporated into our home happened and there were no financial surprises. His wife Debbie is an outstanding resource for color choices and in the end we ended up with an absolutely beautiful, well-constructed, energy efficient home. Dave takes great pride in the homes he builds and it shows in all of the details. He keeps his clients well informed throughout the process; he is responsive and has a high level of integrity. His son David is knowledgeable and instrumental in making the whole thing come together. I would highly recommend Hammer Homes to anyone looking to build a new home.
Last year we found ourselves among the 346 who lost their home in the Waldo Canyon fire. My husband and I started our builder search immediately. A mutual friend put us in touch with Dave and Debbie Hammer. We were so blessed to have met them. Dave and Debbie were compassionate and willing to accommodate all our desires. We did our due diligence and met with other local builders, but we just did not get that same comfort level. After looking at the many Hammer Homes plans, Dave assisted us in creating a new plan combining different features from each. The end product is gorgeous and just what our family needed. The build process was smooth, quick, and easy. Their standard finishes are high end and usually upgrades with other companies. Many of our neighbors chose different builders and encountered numerous delays and hiccups. We could not be happier and highly recommend Hammer Homes for your new home.
When we first met Dave and Debbie Hammer we were at a low point in our lives: the home we loved so much had just been lost in the Waldo Canyon Fire. After meeting with them we felt right away that we were in good hands. Our daughter needed special features that Dave understood, and he made sure she had what she needed to have a spectacular, special, accessible home. They were there for us through the entire process. We now have a wonderful new home, more beautiful than we could have imagined. Thank you Dave for always taking our calls, for being patient with us during a difficult period, and for building us a home we can make new memories in.
We lost our home in the Waldo Canyon fire. A neighbor of ours suggested we consider Hammer Custom Homes as our builder. After seeing a few of their model homes and meeting with Dave Hammer, we decided to move forward with him on a custom plan for our home. Dave made the building process so easy and was always available to answer questions and keep us updated on the construction process through both an online program and via personal communication. He’s not a one-size-fits-all builder. He was able to design a home around our needs and wants, and suggested things we had not even thought about. It was obvious to us that Dave takes pride in his work and believes his homes are a reflection of his abilities as a builder. He delivers on his promises, and does over and above what is expected. We so appreciate our beautiful home and highly recommend Hammer Custom Homes to anyone looking to build the home of their dreams. It truly has been a pleasure working with Dave and his wonderful family.
After losing our house in the Waldo Canyon Fire, June 2012, Myles and I did not hesitate to contact Dave and Debbie Hammer to build us our next home. I fell in love with the Parade of Homes 2010 winner Serenity, never dreaming that we would someday need to purchase a brand new house. Everything ran smoothly from the first moment to the end. From models to modifications to color selections to all the building steps in between, we had a fantastic, stress-free experience. They allowed us to move at our own pace in the process due to the emotional circumstances of the fire, and we were still back home before a year was up! We cannot express enough what this experience meant to us. Friends who have visited us have all commented on the outstanding workmanship and quality of our Hammer Home. I can think of only one other neighbor who had as smooth an experience in the rebuilding of our street – and they built a Hammer Home!!
