Hammer Homes have been designing and constructing their floor plans in Colorado Springs since 1993, so we understand the importance of being flexible in making changes to all our home plans to meet your individual needs. Built to last a lifetime, our custom and semi-custom ranch home plans are inspired to capture the wide-open spaces of their surroundings.
In general, a ranch design is one in which the home builder’s predominant floor plan is on a single, main level. Ranch homes benefit from longevity because you will never be prevented from enjoying your home by the need to climb stairs to reach essential living spaces.
As our floor plans demonstrate, we, as custom and semi-custom home builders, produce numerous variations on the essential, single-level design principle for ranch homes, with layouts for every budget, need, taste, and family size. Whichever floor plan and elevation you prefer, all of Hammer Homes’ customizable ranch home plans feature some of the following architectural and design features:
- At least 3,000 square feet of finished living space (most designs over 4,000 square feet finished);
- Open floor plans accentuate sightlines and facilitate togetherness.
- Living rooms with high or vaulted ceilings.
- Open kitchens, breakfast nooks, and dining rooms on the main level.
- Master bedrooms with large master bathrooms and a walk-in closet on the main level.
- Guest bathrooms and bedrooms on the main level.
- Covered decks on the main level.
- Lower levels with additional bedrooms, bathrooms, a wet bar, and open recreation rooms.
- Covered patios on the lower level.
- Main-level laundry rooms (and in select designs, an additional lower-level laundry room).
